9️⃣ Exercise Guidance & Tips

Visual demonstration images
-
An “i” information icon
If you tap the “i” icon, a detailed explanation will appear showing:

How to set up correctly
-
Proper body positioning
-
Key technique cues
-
Safety recommendations
This helps you perform each movement with correct form and reduce the risk of injury.
If you are unsure about a lift, always review the guidance before starting your set.
Train smart. Train safely.
🔟 Pyramid Structure & Warm-Up Sets
GymBuddy workouts follow a pyramid structure.
Each exercise starts with a lighter warm-up set to prepare your muscles and improve technique.
From there, the weight gradually increases across the sets.
Typically:
-
Set 1–2: Lighter weight (warm-up & preparation)
-
Set 3–4: Heavier working sets (near your lifting max for the day)
This structure helps you:
-
Reduce injury risk
-
Activate muscles properly
-
Perform better on your heaviest sets
You can adjust the weight manually at any time.
However, avoid going too heavy on the first two sets — they are designed to prepare you, not exhaust you.
Train smart. Build progressively.
1️⃣1️⃣ Track Your Progress
Every exercise includes a History option.
By opening it, you can see:
-
Your personal best
-
Progress trend over time
-
Weight changes between sessions
-
A full log of previous sets and reps
-
Date and time of each workout
This allows you to clearly track improvement and identify patterns in your training.
The progress trend shows whether you are increasing weight consistently — which is key for long-term strength and muscle development.
Use your history to:
-
Aim for small improvements
-
Beat your previous performance
-
Stay motivated by visible progress
Progress is built session by session
